Beyond Sound: Supernova’s Stunning Visuals for Childish Gambino’s 'Sweet Thang

Supernova recently collaborated with Childish Gambino for a striking visual experience in the music video for his track “Sweet Thang,” featured on his Atavista album's limited-edition vinyls. The project involved a unique clay-infused animation that creatively interpreted Naimo Harukawa’s Aratako artwork.

The video blends artistry with technology, featuring intricate 3D modeling and motion graphics. Supernova’s team, led by Macky Macguire in creative direction, brought the vision to life with the contributions of talented artists, including Monyyplus and Biibocc for animation and design, and Simon Floris for 3D modeling.

This collaboration highlights Supernova’s ability to push creative boundaries, offering a fresh take on music videos with their innovative use of sound design, VFX, and motion graphics.
